Owning a Bernese Mountain Dog is not for everyone.  The Club offers assistance in determining if a Berner is for you and, if it is, how you can go about finding one.  Many people do not want to go through the puppy stage and opt for a grown dog, through our rescue program.  Others want the intensity of nurturing an active pup and require help in locating a reputable breeder.  The wait time for a healthy puppy from a reputable breeder can be as long as a year.
