There are three types of Club membership open to anyone 18 years of age and older who is in good standing with The American Kennel Club and who subscribes to the purposes of this Club
A type of club
affiliation, Junior, is open to
children under 18 years of age; it is a non-voting, non-office holding
affiliation which may be converted to regular membership at age 18.
An individual must attend
at least two Club meetings before applying for membership. Each applicant for
membership shall apply on a form as approved by the Board of Directors and
which shall provide that the applicant agrees to abide by the constitution and
by-laws and Code of Ethics of the Three Rivers Bernese Mountain Dog Club and
the constitution, bylaws and the rules of The American Kennel Club. Your
application must be endorsed by two Club members who are in good standing
(i.e., you will need two TRBMDC members to sponsor your application). You will
need to submit your dues payment for the current year along with your completed
application. Send your application to the Club Secretary. Each application is read
at the first meeting of the Club following its receipt. At the next Club
meeting the application will be voted upon and affirmative votes of 2/3 of the
members present and voting by secret ballot at that meeting shall be required
to elect the applicant.
If you are interested in
membership, please attend a Club meeting and contact the Club Secretary or the
Membership Chair for additional information.
