Welcome to the Three Rivers Bernese Mountain Dog Club, an American Kennel Club licensed club. We were established in 1991. A small group of dedicated Berner fanciers in western Pennsylvania (Pittsburgh area) had just organized and hosted the 1991 National Specialty of the Bernese Mountain Dog Club of America (BMDCA), and we decided that it was time to make our loose connections more official. We are now a recognized regional club of the BMDCA and work actively toward the aims of our organization, which you can read by looking at Club Info. Our geographic center remains western Pennsylvania (the "three rivers" are the Allegheny, Monongahela, and Ohio), although we are proud to have members from as far away as California and Canada.

Our Club offers every type of Bernese Mountain Dog owner or prospective owner opportunities to learn about and have fun with the breed, from the prospective puppy buyer who is looking for a healthy puppy with a good temperament, to the fancier with many years of experience breeding and showing Bernese.

Please come and meet others who share a love of this breed, learn more about the health and traditional work of the Berner Sennenhund, and share information and tips on rearing, training, and living with our Beautiful Bernese Mountain Dogs.
